Postdoctoral position in MEDICAL ROBOTICS at Queen’s University
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in
medical robotics and computer integrated surgery. The primary focus will be on the
design, implementation, experimental validation, and clinical inauguration of
novel systems that enable needle placement procedures inside imaging scanners
(MRI, CT, C-arm, and ultrasound).
The postdoctoral researcher will have excellent
collaborative opportunities with a diverse group of multidisciplinary
researchers from medical robotics, medical imaging, image processing,
computational mechanics, image modeling, and analysis; as well as with a
diverse of pool of clinical collaborators. Primary research interactions will
take place with the Johns Hopkins Robotics Program (robotics.jhu.edu) and
The position is open for an initial duration of 12
months, starting immediately and it will be renewable pending on performance.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background
in medical robotics, mechatronic design; hands-on skills in machining and
manufacturing are highly desirable.
Interested applicants should send detailed
curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, research portfolio, and list
