Research Software Engineer
in COMPUTER INTEGRATED SURGERY at Queen’s University
A Research Engineer
position is available in application software development for medical robotics
and computer integrated surgery systems. The primary focus will be on the design,
implementation, experimental validation, and clinical inauguration of novel
systems that enable needle placement procedures inside imaging scanners (MRI,
CT, C-arm, and ultrasound).
The Research
Engineer will have excellent collaborative opportunities with a diverse group
of multidisciplinary researchers from medical robotics, medical imaging, image
processing, computational mechanics, image modeling, and analysis; as well as
with a large pool of clinical collaborators. Primary research interactions will
take place with the Center for Computer Integrated Surgery (www.cisst.org) at the
