The workshop/tutorial format is a single stream of oral presentation of papers followed by questions or discussion. Panel sessions may also be included. Poster sessions may also be held concurrently with the workshop/tutorial. The duration of a workshop/tutorial will be either half (09:00-13:00 or 14:00-18:00) or full day (09:00-18:00) and includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, as appropriate, where further exchange and discussion can continue informally.
Workshop/tutorial proposals must be submitted by email in PDF or Microsoft Word to the workshop/tutorial Chairs by January 20, 2008. Proposals should provide sufficient information to evaluate the relevance and importance of the topic, and the size of the interested community. Prospective workshop/tutorial organisers must follow the guidelines in submitting a workshop/tutorial proposal and are encouraged to contact the workshop/tutorial Chairs should any questions arise .
MICCAI 2008 will not pay for registration, travel, or other arrangements for workshop/tutorial organisers or any of their invited guests. All participants, including workshop/tutorial organisers, must register for the workshop.
The workshop/tutorial organisers must arrange for advertising of the workshop/tutorial, submission and reviewing of papers, notification of acceptance, compilation of the workshop/tutorial program, and print ready layout of the proceedings.
The venue for the workshop/tutorial will be the Kimmel Center of New York University, and onsite services and catering arrangements will be organised by the MICCAI 2008 organisers.
